HTTPS

Today we see HTTPS in most of the site's URL that deal with private data such as e-mail sites or banking sites. HTTPS stands for HTTP Secure it uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) or Transport Layer Security (TLS), it is a protocol that ensures privacy. TLS ensures that no third party may perform unauthorized real-time interception of a private communication, such as a phone call, instant message, video-conference or fax transmission, or tamper with any message that is eavesdropping. TLS is the successor to the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). HTTPS was developed by Netscape.
